Watching and Being Guided to Take on Success
As a business woman who is a motivational speaker, music artist, minister, and community advocate, I see that there is no limitation on the level of success that this journey of life has to offer. God has given us the power to make decisions. We have to remember that balance is key and applied knowledge is imperative to achieving a balanced life. In order to obtain balance in the midst of success, we need to listen to the voice of God and obey.
In the fall of 2007, during a time of uncertainty and duress, God ministered to my spirit and said, “Move slow enough to listen and strong enough to sustain.” I keep this before me before all that I do. To say the least, December 9th I obtained my ministry license from Mt Pleasant Baptist Church, completed my master’s degree (MBA) from Averett University, and will be featured as a new artist on the One Love Cruise hosted by Yolanda Adams and Jeff Majors, March 2008.
As we enter into a new year, let us make certain that we are in line with the anointing before all that we do. It is very easy to get caught up in the adrenalin rush and make spontaneous decisions because we got tired of waiting on God. It is easy to move ahead of the anointing and do what “we” think is best.
The adrenalin flow has a hard crash ahead. “Beware of being wrapped up in being fueled by adrenalin instead of the anointing” (Inspired by Pastor William Davis, Jr.). The anointing makes things easier. You’ll know the anointing by the fruit that will come out of it. You’ll say things like, “I know it was only God.” People will come in your life on God’s assignment just to bless you. You’ll know that it’s God because they won’t expect anything from you in return. When God blesses you, He does it without burdens attached.
In 2008, I want you to be encouraged and walk in knowing that whatever your dreams and goals may be, whatever vision God has allowed you to see, let it unfold at the pace that God will have it to be. Do this by walking in the anointing guided along the path to restoration. Be restored to the place where you walk with God as your best friend. The only way to attain anything in life is to be persistent and diligent; loving God, loving yourself, and loving whatever community God has placed you in. Be blessed, God has entrusted you to be a watchman over your life by His word only.
